Beta: the API is free for everyone until 2026-11-30. No card needed.

PrintHub for Windows

Install PrintHub.exe on the PC that the printers are connected to (USB, network or shared). It sends the PC's printers to your account and prints the jobs your app sends through the API.

PrintHub.exe
Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit and 32-bit · single file, no installer
Download

Set up

  • Create an account, then open Computers in the console and click Add a computer to get a pairing code. Codes work once and expire after 15 minutes.
  • Download PrintHub.exe and run it. If Windows SmartScreen warns about it, choose More info → Run anyway.
  • The Settings window opens on first run. Leave the server as https://printhub.uulen.xyz/api, paste the pairing code and click Save.
  • A printer icon appears next to the clock. Its dot is green when connected. Tick Start when I sign in so it comes back after a restart.
  • The PC and its printers now show in the console and in GET /computers and GET /printers.

Headless set up

For servers and scripted roll-outs, pair from the command line. The code can come from the console or from POST /account/pairingcode.

PrintHub.exe --pair ABCD-EFGH
PrintHub.exe --console # run without the tray icon, log to the console
PrintHub.exe --list-printers # show detected printers and capabilities as JSON

How it prints

  • PDF jobs are rendered with Windows' own PDF engine. No Adobe Reader or other viewer is needed.
  • Raw jobs (ZPL, EPL, ESC/POS, PCL) are sent to the printer unchanged.
  • Options such as copies, duplex, paper, bin, color and page ranges are applied per job.
  • It only makes outbound HTTPS requests, so it works behind NAT and firewalls with no port forwarding.

Files

Settings and the log are in %APPDATA%\PrintHubCloud\. To move a PC to another account, delete that folder and pair again.
